Bettor ranks: College football's top 25

In an otherwise quiet week in the Vegas rankings, Washington State climbed into the top 10 after a strong performance on the road against Colorado. Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

Each week I get the power ratings from the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, ESPN's Will Harris and Bruce Marshall of the Gold Sheet, then combine them with my power ratings to give you the consensus Vegas power ratings.

These ratings are less about a team's record and more about the overall talent each team possesses -- reflecting which team would be favored if they met at a neutral site.

Here are the top 25 bettor power rankings.

Last updated: Nov. 13

Week 12 notes: It was a quiet week as all of the top 10 teams in the Vegas rankings won, but there still was some minor movement among that group. Oklahoma barely escaped Oklahoma State at home, allowing 640 yards in the process, and the Sooners dropped one spot to No. 5. Washington State moved into the top 10 after a quality road win over Colorado. Mississippi State was shut out by Alabama, and so they dropped seven spots in the AP poll. In the Vegas poll, however, the Bulldogs actually rose four spots to No. 15 as their defense held Alabama to 261 yards below their season average and had a touchdown called back on a very questionable penalty.

Three teams took a jump of eight spots or more in the Vegas rankings this time around, as Syracuse, Utah and Utah State were among the teams that impressed the most this week. Only one top 10 team faces a ranked foe this week, and Syracuse happens to be the opponent at hand. The Vegas rankings have Notre Dame at 9.7 points ahead of Syracuse on a neutral field, and as Saturday's game takes place at Yankee Stadium, it's not surprising that the Irish are a nine-point favorite on that neutral field.

The team that suffered the biggest fall in the rankings was Purdue, who dropped 12 spots to No. 33 after a lopsided 41-10 loss against Minnesota.
