Kevin Magnussen has been handed his first reprimand of the season for impeding Sauber's Charles Leclerc during opening practice in Spain. The Dane had initially held up Leclerc having slowed for a yellow flag and failing to realise it had cleared at the next part of the track, before pulling a move deemed "potentially dangerous and unnecessary" by blocking Leclerc into Turn 1. Reprimands work differently to F1's penalty points system -- any driver receiving three during a season will automatically receive a ten-place grid penalty for the current or next event, but only if two of the reprimands were for driving infringements.
