Promoter Lou DiBella announced Wednesday that he has signed promising heavyweight Bakhodir Jalolov (1-0, 1 KO) and junior lightweight Elnur Abduraimov (0-0), both former amateur standouts from Uzbekistan, to co-promotional contracts with Fight Promotions Inc. "I am thrilled to begin promoting two of Uzbekistan's best amateur standouts,” DiBella said. “Jalolov is a massive heavyweight and former Olympian with great footwork and power in both hands. I have no doubt that he will be a player at the top level of the division in a few years. Abduraimov is a come-forward, aggressive fighter that will excite American fans.” Jalolov, 23, who was 84-13 as an amateur and carried the Uzbekistan flag for his country at the opening ceremonies of the 2016 Olympics, made his pro debut May 5 with a third-round knockout win on DiBella’s “Broadway Boxing” series. Abduraimov, 23, was 195-20 as an amateur and a five-time national champion with lots of international experience. He’ll make his pro debut on Friday night at Club Amazura in Queens, New York.
