A purse bid for the heavyweight world title elimination fight between former title challengers Kubrat Pulev (25-1, 13 KOs), 37, of Bulgaria, and Hughie Fury (21-1, 11 KOs), 23, of England, was scheduled for Thursday at the IBF headquarters in Springfield, New Jersey. However, on Wednesday the IBF said the purse bid has been postponed for one week and will now take place on Aug. 16, though the camps could still make a deal until 15 minutes before the bids are unsealed. If the fight takes place the winner will become one of the mandatory challengers for unified world titleholder Anthony Joshua.
