Junior bantamweight Nicola Adams (4-0, 3 KOs), 35, of England, who won back-to-back gold medals at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, will face Isabel Millan (21-4-1, 8 KOs), 33, of Mexico, for a vacant interim women’s world title on Oct. 6 at the Morningside Leicester Arena in Leicester, England, promoter Frank Warren announced on Wednesday. The winner will be the mandatory challenger for full titlist Raja Amasheh (21-1-1, 4 KOs), 36, of Germany. Adams, who recently began training with Dominic Ingle, will face Millan on the card headlined by the Jack Catterall-Ohara Davies junior welterweight bout.
