Between February and this past Friday, unified middleweight world champion Gennady Golovkin has been subjected to 12 random urine and six random blood tests conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association in the lead up to Saturday’s mega rematch with Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas. GGG has passed all of his tests. Alvarez, who failed two tests in February, leading to a six-month suspension and the rematch being canceled from May 5 and eventually rescheduled for Saturday, is also being randomly tested by VADA but his total number of tests has not been announced yet.
