The Boston Uprising announced the signing of Cameron "Fusions" Bosworth to a two-way contract on Monday.
It confirmed a report by ESPN over the weekend that the Overwatch League team intended to add the tank player ahead of Season 2.
Fusions, 19, spent the past two seasons playing for the British Hurricanes of the London Spitfire's Contenders team. He also stepped in as the main tank for Team United Kingdom in last week's Overwatch World Cup at BlizzCon in Anaheim, California.
Fusions will begin with the Boston Uprising's Contenders team, Toronto Esports. His two-way contract means Fusions will occupy a spot on both the Contenders roster and the Uprising's 12-man roster.
Teams may only have four two-way players under contract during any given stage, and those players must be identified to the league office before the stage begins. Fusions cannot compete for both teams in the same week, and if he plays in more than two OWL matches, he will no longer be eligible to player in Contenders matches.
"We are excited to add Cameron 'Fusions' Bosworth to our roster," said Chris "HuK" Loranger, President of Gaming for The Kraft Group. "We feel that Fusions will be an important part of both the Uprising and Toronto Esports, and we look forward to having him as a part of the team."
