Bayer Leverkusen winger Karim Bellarabi collapsed during a friendly match on Tuesday but is "doing well" after being taken to hospital, his club confirmed.
Bellarabi, 28, collapsed at the half-time break of Leverkusen's 2-0 friendly win at Wuppertaler SV, which was played in hot conditions with water breaks in each half.
He was transported to a local hospital as a precaution and will stay overnight for observation, Leverkusen confirmed on Twitter.
"He is now fully conscious and responsive. He is doing well," Leverkusen coach Heiko Herrlich said. "But we will have to wait and see what the exact diagnosis is."
