Brechin moved above opponents Airdrie and into the Ladbrokes League One play-off spots with a 3-0 home win.
Alistair Love's brace helped the hosts ease to a third successive win after kick-off was delayed by an hour due to traffic problems caused by the closure of the Forth Road Bridge.
Love gave Brechin the lead from the penalty spot after being fouled by Jordan McGregor in first-half stoppage time.
Love slotted in his second of the contest in the 68th minute when a corner fell to him on the edge of the area and Andrew Jackson wrapped up victory by finishing off a counter with four minutes left.
