A little dig at the Washington Nationals from Bryce Harper? This is what he answered when asked whether it was good for homegrown stars to remain with the same team: "If any other guy can really do that, stick with one team for his whole career, it has to work on both sides. The Angels were able to make that happen. Colorado was able to make that happen for (Nolan) Arenado. When you're able to do that, it's special. If you're able to spend it with one team, it's very special. It's good for each organization. It's good for the game to be able to get a superstar player like that the amount of money that he got, and (Trout) is very deserving of that."

After how he looked in the game's first three innings, who'd have guessed Marco Gonzales would come out of this one with a quality start (and a likely win)? He settled down late, finishing with three shutout frames of three K's, one hit and one walk.

That was Domingo Santana's 22nd career home run to right field, out of 55 total.

An excellent bunt by Dee Gordon, but wow, Matt Chapman made that look so easy, barehanding and throwing out Gordon by a couple of steps.
