National coach Shaq delos Santos has named 20 players to the women's volleyball national team pool.

Seventeen of the 20-woman pool, bannered by skipper Aby Maraño, attended the training on Wednesday at the Arellano University Gym.

Mika Reyes, Jaja Santiago, Rebecca Rivera, CJ Rosario, Mylene Paat, Maika Ortiz, Rhea Dimaculangan, Ces Molina, Dindin Santiago-Manabat, Kianna Dy, Cha Cruz, Majoy Baron, Dawn Macandili, and Kim Fajardo were all present in the practice session.

Alyssa Valdez (right foot) and Jia Morado (right shoulder) also showed up but were still sidelined due to minor injuries.

Completing the pool are Denden Lazaro, Myla Pablo, and MJ Phillips, who could not make it on Wednesday due to prior commitments. Lazaro had to attend a training with Cocolife, Pablo has a quarterfinal game with Pocari-Sweat in the Premier Volleyball League, while Phillips is out of the country.

Although not part of the current pool, Risa Sato and Lourdes Clemente were also there to join the training.

The national team pool will be trimmed down to 14 players, including two reserves, who will compete in the Jakarta Asian Games in August.

The final lineup is expected to be announced on Thursday.
