San Miguel Beermen center June Mar Fajardo and TNT KaTropa's Troy Rosario and Roger Pogoy attended their first Gilas Pilipinas practice at the Meralco gym since their PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals showdown.
Fajardo came to practice 25 minutes late as he attended the Beermen's victory party at SMC headquarters in nearby Mandaluyong.
The three were expected to join the scrimmages Monday evening but were not able to attend.
Joining them are Andray Blatche, Kiefer Ravena, Gabe Norwood, Raymond Almazan, CJ Perez, Robert Bolick, Paul Lee, Japeth Aguilar, Beau Belga, Poy Erram and Mark Barroca.
Matthew Wright, who suffered a right peroneal tendon sprain Monday, did not practice. Erram tweaked his ankle during Monday's practice but still suited up.
"The rest of the guys are fluid with the system, the three guys have a lot of catching to do," coach Yeng Guiao said.
He said the team will be devoting an extra 30 minutes for the trio to familiarize themselves with the plays, especially the new ones formulated after their Spain trip.
Erram's foot injury is less severe than initially feared, but Wright will need more time to recuperate, and will likely miss their final tuneup matches against Australian ball club Adelaide 36ers on August 23 and 25.
"It's unfortunate because we don't have a lot of time. I don't know if I'll be able to play in the tuneup game [against Adelaide], which is disappointing for me. But injuries are part of the game," Wright said.
Fajardo, who left San Miguel's celebration early said that team management understood his case and gave him full support.
