The Philippines is hoping to reign supreme once again in 5-on-5 basketball in the Southeast Asian Games. The country has won the gold medal in the last 12 editions of the Games.

Gilas Pilipinas will be coached by Tim Cone, who will be joined by former national team player Jimmy Alapag and Jong Uichico as his assistants. Cone assembled a 15-man pool to determine the final lineup. For 3x3, the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas put up a 12-man pool.

This year's 5-on-5 basketball competition will run from December 4 to 10. Meanwhile, the 3x3 competition, which will be included in the SEA Games for the first time in history, will be played December 1 to 2. All the games will be broadcast over TV5 and Cignal TV, and via livestream on ESPN5.com.
