The PBA on Wednesday fined Alex Cabagnot for hitting RJ Jazul in the groin area in San Miguel's 114-91 win over Phoenix in Game 4 of the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup.

Cabagnot was slapped with a P20,000 penalty after the league reviewed the tape of the incident that happened with 2:22 remaining in the second period.

The hit sparked the scuffle between Matt Ganuelas-Rosser and Alex Mallari which ended up with the latter getting ejected for incurring two technical fouls - second motion on Cabagnot and verbal altercation with Rosser.

Mallari and Ganuelas-Rosser were fined P2,600 and P1,600, respectively.

The game was nothing short of physical as five others were meted fines.

Jaypee Mendoza, who got the boot with 12 seconds remaining in the third period, was fined P6,600 after getting teed up twice while Ron Dennison P5,000 for landing spot on Kelly Nabong.

Nabong taunted Dennison a few plays later and was whistled for a technical foul -- his fourth this conference -- which resulted in a P3,400 fine.

Also fined P1,600 each were Arwind Santos and Jason Perkins. Santos was caught taunting Perkins while the latter was called for a technical foul for second motion on the SMB forward.
