TNT KaTropa import Terrence Jones was slapped with a PHP20,000 fine for his unsportsmanlike actions against San Miguel guard Chris Ross in Game 3 of the 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals Friday evening.

Jones was initially penalized with a flagrant foul penalty 1 for headbutting Ross in the first quarter of a tense game. Upon review, the league upgraded the call to a flagrant 2, and Jones was fined the corresponding amount. He, however, will not be suspended for Game 4.

The incident happened at the 5:51 mark of the first quarter during a deadball situation.

Since his foul was deemed an FF1 at the time, Jones was not ejected and went on to finish the game, and more importantly led TNT to a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven championship series, winning 115-105.

The Best Import frontrunner ended up with 37 points, 18 rebounds, nine assists, and five blocks. He was ejected towards the end of the first overtime of Game 2 after committing an FF1 for extra motion against SMB's Chris Ross following a technical foul earlier in the game.

Additionally, SMB's Christian Standhardinger was fined PHP5,000 for his flagrant foul penalty 1, which occurred with 6.3 seconds left in the third period.
