The NLEX Road Warriors announced on Tuesday they have made an offer to send Juami Tiongson to the NorthPort Batang Pier for Mike Miranda.
The trade proposal was already sent to the PBA Commissioner's Office for approval.
The two players were teammates at NLEX from 2017-18 before Miranda went to the TNT KaTropa then to the Batang Pier.
In a statement, NLEX coach Yeng Guiao stressed they decided to make a move to bolster their front line.
"It so happened that Mike was available. Since Mike came from our team before and knows my system, he became a natural consideration," said Guiao.
Guiao also revealed that they originally wanted to give up just a second round pick but NorthPort insisted on Tiongson.
Miranda played in just three games last conference, and only managed to record one assist and one rebound. Meanwhile, Tiongson averaged 7.8 points, 3.3 assists, and 2.2 rebounds in 11 outings.
