Blackwater trades Ray Parks to TNT

Blackwater shipped Bobby Ray Parks to the TNT KaTropa in exchange for Don Trollano, Anthony Semerad, and a 2021 first round pick.

The trade was approved on Sunday, according to PBA commissioner Willie Marcial.

It is Blackwater's third transaction after Mike DiGregorio was earlier shipped to TNT for Brian Heruela, followed by the shipping of Allein Maliksi and Raymar Jose to Meralco in exchange for the Bolts' KG Canaleta, Mike Tolomia and their 2020 and 2022 second-round picks.

Parks, who skipped the PBA Philippine Cup this season after opting to first play for Alab Pilipinas in the 2019 Asean Basketball League, only signed a two-conference deal with the Elite in April.

He is expected to boost TNT's offense, while bringing in versatility for a ballclub that is trying to reach the PBA finals for the second straight conference. Parks averaged 20.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists with the Elite prior to the trade.

Meanwhile, Trollano saw his career blossom with TNT, averaging f 11.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists this conference. Semerad, on the other hand, will be out for the rest of the season. He is getting treatment in Australia due to bone spurs.
