Source: San Miguel players get into scuffle during practice

A minor scuffle broke out during the San Miguel Beermen's scrimmage at the Upper Deck Gym in Pasig on Sunday, a team official confirmed to ESPN5.com.

The news was first reported by Spin.ph.

In the report, Ronald Tubid, Arwind Santos, Kelly Nabong and injured import Dez Wells were involved in the incident. Wells reportedly came at Santos after he got knocked down to the floor because of a hard screen. Tubid then backed Santos, while Nabong came to Wells' defense.

Wells has yet to suit up again for San Miguel after spraining his ankle in a 125-99 loss to the Meralco Bolts on Oct. 27. Currently in his place is former NBA player John Holland, who has logged a 1-1 record with the team so far.

San Miguel is currently bannering a 6-4 record and is in the thick of the race for the last twice-to-beat advantage in the 2019 PBA Governors' Cup quarterfinals. The Beermen are looking to lock up that incentive on Wednesday when it faces the TNT KaTropa (7-3).

This is a developing story.
