San Miguel-Barangay Ginebra postponed as Beermen enter health and safety protocols

The PBA made more adjustments to the 2021 PBA Philippine schedule after the San Miguel Beermen entered the league's health and safety protocols.

Commissioner Willie Marcial on Saturday confirmed the development but declined to provide more details, although he did say that confirmatory results are set to come out in "the next three days."

San Miguel officials, meanwhile, have yet to respond to inquiries made by ESPN as of press time.

As a result, San Miguel's matchup against Barangay Ginebra on Sunday, August 1, has been postponed to a later date.

Blackwater, which played the Beermen on Wednesday, July 28, is also under the PBA's health and safety protocols and had their Saturday afternoon game against Phoenix moved to a later date.

Phoenix will now face TNT on Sunday, August 1, at 4:35 p.m. instead of the Tropang Giga facing NorthPort on the same day. The Rain or Shine vs. Terrafirma clash on the same day will still push through, but the game will now be held at 2:00 p.m.
