Chicago Bears' Lamarr Houston to fair-weather fans: 'eat dirt'

Apparently, Chicago Bears defensive end Lamarr Houston wants unconditional support from the team's fans.

Otherwise, you can eat dirt.

At least that's the gist of what Houston posted to his Twitter account in the aftermath of Chicago's 31-24 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday during a game in which the Bears at one point led 21-7. In his post on Twitter, Houston asks where are "my real" Bears fans, "the ones who don't waver during the storm the tough ones?"

Houston added that those fans are "the ones we need" before finishing with "the rest of u can eat dirt."

One of the team's high-priced acquisitions in free agency, Houston signed a five-year, $35 million contract with the Bears in March, and has contributed six tackles through the first four games with no sacks. In the loss to the Panthers, Houston received credit for two tackles and a fumble recovery.
