Jon Leuer has made the most of his playing time so far this season. Leuer averages 6.9 points and 5.5 rebounds in 16.5 minutes per game. The 6-foot-10 power forward adds depth behind Markieff Morris and Mirza Teletovic.
Leuer’s shooting ability helps the Suns keep their offense at a fast pace when he’s on the court. Zach Buchanan of The Arizona Republic has more about Leuer's increased role:
- "Leuer is a strong bet to receive steady minutes going forward, but maybe not at his current clip. Eventually the team expects Teletovic to find his shot, and there may be instances where that instant offense outweighs the benefits of Leuer’s all-around game. The Wisconsin product wasn’t counting his unhatched chickens anyway, but does feel that the Suns rotation is starting to become more solid. 'I think we’re starting to develop a rotation,' he said. 'Whenever your number’s called you have to be ready to go.'"
