Things are looking well for Eumir Marcial as the Filipino middleweight remains without a loss on Monday in the 2019 World Boxing Championship in Ekaterinburg, Russia.
Two days after a win over Tarik Allali, Marcial followed up by beating Omurbek Bekzhigit Uulu via unanimous decision.
The 5-foot-8 slugger from Zamboanga City scored his third victory in as many bouts in the biennial meet.
Usually patient on offense, Marcial showed his aggressive side when he attacked Uulu of Kyrgyzstan throughout the final round.
Uulu first looked hurt when the Filipino southpaw launched a left straight into his face. Seeing him stunned, Marcial continued to attack and followed it up with three more to the same spot.
The last of those hits -- another smashing left -- forced the referee to check on Uulu, but the fight went on.
Marcial, though, continued to punish Uulu and launched one combination after another until the final bell.
