Allrounder Ryan ten Doeschate is not available due to his county commitments with Essex while fellow county circuit players Shane Snater and Timm van der Gugten are also missing out from the Netherlands' last international action in February when they toured Oman for a T20I quadrangular series that also included Ireland and champions Scotland. However, Roelof van der Merwe and Paul van Meekeren, as well as Fred Klaassen, have been named in the side.
Kingma has not played for Netherlands since the 2018 World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe after damaging ankle ligaments that required surgery. Prior to that, he had been a key contributor throughout their WCL Championship campaign, taking a hat-trick in his List A career-best 6 for 39 against Namibia in the final round at the ICC Academy in Dubai in December 2017.
De Leede made his international debut last June playing four T20Is in the tri-series against Ireland and Scotland at home before making his ODI debut against Nepal in August. He has been in decent form this summer playing for MCC Young Cricketers, scoring 77 against Somerset 2nd XI at Taunton in May.
Voorburg Cricket Club's Brandon Glover is the only uncapped player in the squad. Among other changes, Saqib Zulfiqar has been recalled at the expense of his brother Sikander, who played two of three matches during the Netherlands T20I tour of Oman in February. Stephan Myburgh has also been left out of the squad.
The two sides will play two ODIs in Deventer on June 19 and 21 before moving to Rotterdam for two T20Is on June 23 and 25. Zimbabwe then travels to Ireland for three ODIs and three T20Is at the start of July.
