Coronavirus lockdown: James Rodriguez lets you 'Choose Your Player' (as long as it's James Rodriguez)

With almost all football postponed indefinitely because of the coronavirus pandemic, star players have found themselves at a loose end.

With many training grounds off-limits, clubs have sent footballers home, where they're adhering to an isolation period for the next few weeks. How are they passing the time?

ESPN will be keeping a daily eye on what the world's best are up to, as well as how clubs are keeping busy by battling in online competitions against each other.

James Rodriguez

James Rodriguez had a little fun by creating his own spoof "video game character selection screen" and sharing it on TikTok.

The Real Madrid and Colombia star wheeled his way through a series of different avatars and outfits, though some look more suitable for a run through a sprawling virtual world than others.

Jamie Mackie

Oxford United defender John Mousinho sent a message to teammate Jamie Mackie this week to check in on the striker and see how he's coping as another week in isolation draws to a close.

Sure enough, Mackie sent back a video that spoke volumes as he pranced about his house in full Lycra while performing an aerobics routine about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene.

Yep, it certainly looks like everything is fine and completely normal in the Mackie household.

All together now... "Work those thighs, sanitise!"

Dani Alves

Dani Alves kept things nice and surreal on his Instagram account by heralding the start of Easter by "laying" a large chocolate egg.

Alisson Becker turned amateur magician with a perfectly executed disappearing act using nothing but a duvet and a strategically placed doorway.

"Me when the quarantine finishes," the Liverpool goalkeeper joked.
