While ATK Mohun Bagan and Mumbai City FC are already through to the Indian Super League (ISL) 2020-21 playoffs, the race for the remaining two spots has come right down to the final gameweek, with NorthEast United, FC Goa and Hyderabad fighting for those two places. ATKMB's draw in their penultimate game and Mumbai's win vs Odisha also means that the top spot will also be decided on the final day when the top two meet on Sunday.

Here are the various qualification scenarios, and what each team must do to make it through.

ISL home | Fixtures | Scores | Table | Stats

ATK Mohun Bagan

Current position: 1 (Qualified)

Played: 19 | Points: 40

Remaining fixtures Mumbai City

Already through to the playoffs, it's now about finishing top for that all-important AFC Champions League spot, and ATKMB's draw against Hyderabad means their final game against Mumbai will decide the top spot. Mumbai had won when the two met earlier in the season, so ATKMB can't afford to lose it. A draw would ensure they finish no.1, though.

Mumbai City FC

Current position: 2 (Qualified)

Played: 19 | Points: 37

Remaining fixtures ATK Mohun Bagan

ATKMB gifted them a chance to stay alive for the top spot by dropping points vs Hyderabad, and Mumbai took it with both hands, in a 6-1 rout of Odisha in their penultimate game. But the only way for Lobera's men to finish top is to beat Bagan.

FC Goa

Current position: 3

Played: 19 | Points: 30

Remaining fixtures Hyderabad

A draw vs Hyderabad in their last game will be enough to take Goa through based on superior H2H. If they lose, they would need NorthEast to also lose their last game to still go through.

NorthEast United FC

Current position: 4

Played: 19 | Points: 30

Remaining fixtures Kerala Blasters

NorthEast need just a point against Kerala to go through, because only one of Goa or Hyderabad would be able to better their total tally of 31 points.

Hyderabad FC

Current position: 5

Played: 19 | Points: 28

Remaining fixtures Goa

Only a win against Goa can take Hyderabad through.

Jamshedpur FC

Current position: 6

Played: 19 | Points: 24

Remaining fixture Bengaluru FC

Jamshedpur's slim hopes of making it through ended with Hyderabad's draw vs ATKMB as they can only get to a maximum of 27 points now.

Bengaluru FC

Current position: 7

Played: 19 | Points: 22

Remaining fixtures Jamshedpur

The loss against Goa ended BFC's hopes of making the playoffs.

Chennaiyin FC

Current position: 8

Played: 20 | Points: 20

Remaining fixtures N/A

Chennaiyin's season is over.

SC East Bengal

Current position: 9

Played: 19 | Points: 17

Remaining fixtures Odisha

East Bengal are out of contention for the playoffs -- they can now achieve a maximum of 23 points, which would leave them atleast four points behind the top five.

Kerala Blasters FC

Current position: 10

Played: 19 | Points: 17

Remaining fixtures NorthEast

The loss against Hyderabad officially ended Kerala Blasters' hopes of making the top four.

Odisha FC

Current position: 11

Played: 19 | Points: 9

Remaining fixtures: East Bengal

Odisha are out of the race for the playoffs, and will finish the season at the bottom regardless of the results in their remaining games.
