RSL finished with 12 shots and put five on frame. Salt Lake has claimed just five points in four home matches.
Minnesota earned its first points away from home this season. The Loons extended their unbeaten streak to three matches after losing four straight games to open the season. Minnesota totaled 12 shots but put just a single ball on frame through 90 minutes.
Salt Lake struck first on Kreilach's goal in the 13th minute. His strike snapped a streak of 201 minutes without allowing a goal for the Loons. Aaron Herrera fired a cross to Kreilach off a free kick and he tapped in a right footer from the center of the box to put RSL up 1-0.
Minnesota edged RSL 6-5 in total shots before halftime. But Salt Lake created many more dangerous scoring chances. The Utah club put three shots on frame in the first half, while limiting the Loons to zero shots on goal.
The Loons equalized on a defensive mistake in the 78th minute. RSL goalkeeper Zac MacMath punched a ball off the shoulder of Hansen. The ball trickled to the ground and rolled over the line just inside the far post before MacMath could reach the post.
MacMath made his first start of the season after David Ochoa got called up to the U.S. National Team earlier in the week.
