The England Women were defeated 3-1 by France in an international friendly at Caen's Stade Michel-d'Ornano on Friday.
Sandy Baltimore and Viviane Asseyi put the hosts ahead before Fran Kirby pulled a goal back for England with 11 minutes to play. But Marie-Antoinette Katoto scored three minutes later to ensure the French victory.
The game was one of two final internationals dates before the upcoming Olympic Games this summer in Tokyo.
England will wrap up the international window against Canada in Stoke on Tuesday. Canada beat Wales 3-0 earlier on Friday.
Meanwhile, France will host the United States on Tuesday.
