Jordan Spieth sprinted out of the gate with birdies at two of the first three holes, but two bogeys the rest of the way around the front nine at Royal Portrush forced him to settle for a pedestrian even-par 36. He's still in the mix, but starts the back nine outside the top 10.
Danny Willett has not done much since winning the 2016 Masters. But after a T-12 at this year's U.S. Open, he'll have a chance at winning this year's final major thanks to a blistering 65 on Saturday at Royal Portrush. We'll see where the lead ends up, but Willett will be in the mix heading into the final round.
