DAVIS, Calif. -- Dominick Pickett scored 13 points with three 3-pointers and three teammates added 11 points each as UC Riverside topped UC Davis 65-59 on Thursday night in a Big West Conference opener for both teams.
Angus McWilliam, Arinze Chidom and George Wilborn III scored 11 points apiece for UC Riverside (11-6). Chidom added a game-high eight rebounds plus three steals.
The Highlanders led the entire game.
Ezra Manjon had 17 points for the Aggies (6-11). Elijah Pepper added 13 points and six rebounds. Joe Mooney had 12 points.
UC Riverside takes on Cal State Fullerton at home on Saturday. UC Davis takes on Long Beach State on the road next Thursday.
