IRVINE, Calif. -- Brad Greene had 17 points and 12 rebounds to lead UC Irvine to an 83-72 victory over UC Davis on Thursday night.
It was Greene's sixth double-double of the season. Collin Welp had 13 points and Tommy Rutherford added 12 points and nine rebounds for UC Irvine (15-9, 7-1 Big West Conference). Evan Leonard chipped in 10 points and six assists.
The Anteaters built a 15-point lead with 7:35 left. UC Davis pulled to 73-68 but didn't get closer.
The Anteaters have won seven of their last eight games and four straight against UC Davis.
UC Davis plays at Cal State Fullerton on Saturday. UC Irvine travels to UC Santa Barbara on Saturday.
