Carlos Paez sank a pair of foul shots for the final margin before Tevin Brown and DaQuan Smith missed 3-point attempts to end it.
Jaiveon Eaves led Murray State with a career-high 21 points, Brown scored 13 with six assists and five rebounds, DaQuan Smith scored 13, Williams 11 and Anthony Smith 10. The Racers have lost two of their last three.
