Rochester-native Desmond Green desperately wanted to fight on next month's UFC Rochester card, and the promotion has obliged by booking him against former TKO champion Charles "Air" Jourdain (9-1), sources told ESPN's Ariel Helwani.
Jourdain, of Montreal, will be making his UFC debut on the May 18 card. Green (22-8) is coming off a win over Ross Pearson last month.
Le Journal de Montreal was first to report news of the lightweight pairing.
Green defeated Pearson by first-round knockout in the prelims of UFC Fight Night on March 30. It was his third win in six fights since joining UFC in 2017 and his first fight that didn't need three rounds to be decided since a stoppage win over David Cubas in 2016 in a World Fighting Championship Akhmat bout.
Jourdain is riding a streak of four straight wins in TKO fights, including a win over Damien Lapilus on April 11.
