The 2019 World Series of Poker is underway, running from May 29 all the way through July 16. The site, as it has been since 2005, is the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Television coverage of the 2019 WSOP main event -- poker's world championship -- goes from July 3 through July 16. There will be coverage on ESPN networks during every night of the tournament, with supplemental coverage provided by PokerCentral.

"ESPN's established relationship with the World Series of Poker and Poker Central always brings our audience the top content from this event," said Rob Temple, senior vice president of programming and acquisitions, ESPN. "It is a consistent hit for ESPN and we take pride in the extensive broadcast coverage we provide the fans from this exciting, fan-favorite tournament."

There are a number of significant changes and special events in store for the 2019 WSOP, from the adoption of a big blind ante for all no-limit hold'em events, to a slight increase in chip stack size for most events and the ability for players to enter the main event all the way up to the start of Day 2 of the tournament, on either July 6 or 7. For full details into all of these changes, you can visit WSOP.com.

A record number of WSOP gold bracelets will be on the line in the summer of 2019.

All times listed below local (Las Vegas -- PT). Number in parenthesis ( ) indicates total career WSOP bracelets.

As Day 3 of the 2019 WSOP main event begins, everyone who made it through two days of play will be under one roof for the first time. Of the 8,569 players who entered, 2,880 are still in contention for the title. No one has yet hit 1 million chips, but it's likely that'll change within the first level of play Monday. Julian Milliard (947,900) has the lead going into the day, but 64 players have at least 500,000 with blinds starting at 1,200/2,400 with a 2,400 big blind ante, so there's plenty of room for a big move.

The official numbers for the 2019 World Series of Poker main event are in. With 100 late entries on Saturday and 344 on Sunday, the total field reached 8,569 -- the second-largest main event field in WSOP history and almost 700 more players than in 2018. The $10 million first place prize is tied for the second-largest ever awarded to a main event winner; Jamie Gold won $12 million in 2006, and Martin Jacobson pocketed $10 million in 2014. In all, 1,286 players will make the money. Saturday's Day 2AB action saw 1,087 players make it through the day, with Boston's Timothy Su holding the overnight chip lead at 791,000. After play concludes on Day 2C Sunday night, all players in the field will combine on Day 3 Monday.

Day 1C of the 2019 WSOP main event was a moment that won't soon be forgotten. It was a record-setting day on the felt, as 4,879 players entered the tournament Friday -- the largest single day's worth of participants in the tournament's history. At 8,128, the total field is now the second-largest in the history of the WSOP main event -- trailing only the 8,773 that entered the event in 2006. Registration remains open through the start of Day 2C Sunday. There was also a lot of chaos; two players were disqualified during the first level of play -- one who attempted to steal another player's chips, and another who exposed himself at the table. There was also a serious earthquake that hit Las Vegas, which necessitated an early dinner break.

Adam Owen bagged the biggest stack on Day 1B of the 2019 WSOP main event with 351,800 -- putting him second overall thus far heading into Day 2. Previous main event champions Joe Hachem, Ryan Riess, Greg Merson, Chris Ferguson and Greg Raymer all bagged chips on Day 1B as well. All told, of the 1,914 players who entered the tournament on Thursday 1,417 made it through the day. That brings the total number of players through Days 1A and 1B to 3,249. With more than 3,700 already registered for Day 1C before the start of play Friday, the field appears likely to eclipse last year's mark of 7,874 players -- especially with registration open through the start of play on Day 2C on Sunday.

Day 1A of the 2019 World Series of Poker $10,000 main event is underway. On the first of three starting days, 1,336 players turned out with the dream of adding their name to the history books. 2013 WSOP gold bracelet winner Bryan Campanello ruled the day, bagging 417,500 in chips to claim the first overnight chip lead while no one else cleared 300,000. In all, 960 booked their spot for Day 2AB on Saturday. Previous main event champions Chris Moneymaker (2003) and Qui Nguyen (2016) weathered the Day 1 storm and pushed forward. Australian cricket legend Shane Warne, David Williams, Frank Kassela, Daniel Alaei, Liv Boeree and Chris Moorman were among the early casualties of the tournament.
