The U.S. men's national team suffered its first loss to Canada in 34 years, dropping a CONCACAF Nations League match to their northern neighbors 2-0. Alphonso Davies opened the in the 63rd minute, bundling home Scott Arfield's driven ball at the far post. Substitute Lucas Cavalllini provided the final blow, scoring deep into stoppage time. This wasn't a fluke either. Canada was by far the better side on the night, carving out the better chances.

The U.S. and Canada are tied 0-0 at halftime of their CONCACAF Nations League matchup. The pace of the match was frenetic from the start and continued for much of the half. Canada had the best chance of the half in the 16th minute. Jonathan David stole Cristian Roldan's pass and was clean through on goal. U.S. keeper Zack Steffen saved David's first attempt and the Canadian striker could only put his rebound attempt wide.

Gregg Berhalter on playing Canada in the CONCACAF Nations League: "I like the dynamic attacking players that they have. We've been watching Jonathan David, Alphonso Davies. He was in [MLS]. We know him really well, a great talent...Arfield, from Rangers, we've been watching him, I really like his game intelligence. He's a really smart player, good in between the lines, really good at bringing teammates into the game with his passing, the final pass."
